Play normally
Watch or listen in a supported Android media app. PlaybackHere does not require you to import content into a replacement player.
Cross-app media bookmarks
Save specific moments from videos, podcasts, audiobooks, music and local media in one searchable library—then return to the original app when you need them again.
The problem
Watch Later, playback history and “resume listening” can get you back to a title. They do not build a library of the exact ideas, scenes, quotes and instructions you want to find again.
How it works
PlaybackHere is not another player. It sits beside your media apps and remembers the moments you choose.
Watch or listen in a supported Android media app. PlaybackHere does not require you to import content into a replacement player.
Use PlaybackHere, its notification action or Quick Settings tile to capture the title, position and available identity.
Search your library and tap the bookmark. PlaybackHere opens the original app only after your explicit choice.
Built for people who learn from media
PlaybackHere is most useful when a moment matters beyond the next few minutes.
Keep explanations, examples and revision points.
Save the argument, quote or recommendation.
Return to passages without searching a whole chapter.
Bookmark the exact step you need on the job.
Local-first, not permanently local-only
The current app does not require an account or upload your bookmark library to PlaybackHere. We are also designing for a future first-party cloud service so users who choose it can protect and synchronise their libraries across devices.
Simple launch model
No subscription is planned for the core local app. Future optional cloud storage may be a separate service because it has ongoing infrastructure costs.
No invented testimonials
Before public launch, this site will replace illustrations with genuine app screenshots, a short screen recording and device-tested compatibility results. Beta users will help determine which integrations are strongest and which need more work.
Actual PlaybackHere screens—not a fictional concept app.
Restore levels labelled honestly by app and Android version.
Testimonials only after testers give permission to publish them.
Frequently asked questions
The important answers should be visible before anyone has to contact support.
Usually, yes. PlaybackHere solves a different problem: saving multiple specific moments you want to revisit, then keeping those moments together across several media apps.
No. You continue using the original media apps. PlaybackHere captures the moment you choose and later hands you back to the original app when the integration allows it.
No honest cross-app utility can promise identical behaviour everywhere. Android apps expose different identifiers and controls. PlaybackHere labels compatibility clearly and stops safely when it cannot verify the correct item.
The current local-first app stores the library on your Android device and does not require a PlaybackHere account. Optional first-party cloud backup and sync are planned for the future, but are not part of the current beta.
The A$19.99 lifetime Pro plan covers the local app upgrade described on the pricing page. A future cloud service may be priced separately because online storage and synchronisation create continuing costs.
PlaybackHere is preparing a founding Android beta. Join the beta list and tell us which phone and media apps you use so invitations and compatibility testing can be prioritised intelligently.
