The problem

Important moments disappear inside hours of media.

Watch Later, playback history and “resume listening” can get you back to a title. They do not build a library of the exact ideas, scenes, quotes and instructions you want to find again.

Ordinary playback history

“I know it was somewhere in this two-hour episode.”

  • Usually remembers one stopping point
  • Scattered across separate apps
  • Requires scrubbing and guessing
  • Hard to label or organise
With PlaybackHere

“There it is—the exact moment I saved.”

  • Save multiple moments from the same title
  • Search one cross-app library
  • Return deliberately with a tap
  • Add labels, notes and organisation

How it works

Three steps. Keep using the media apps you already know.

PlaybackHere is not another player. It sits beside your media apps and remembers the moments you choose.

01

Play normally

Watch or listen in a supported Android media app. PlaybackHere does not require you to import content into a replacement player.

02

Save the moment

Use PlaybackHere, its notification action or Quick Settings tile to capture the title, position and available identity.

03

Return later

Search your library and tap the bookmark. PlaybackHere opens the original app only after your explicit choice.

Built for people who learn from media

Turn long-form listening and watching into a usable reference library.

PlaybackHere is most useful when a moment matters beyond the next few minutes.

🎓Study and courses

Keep explanations, examples and revision points.

🎙Podcasts and interviews

Save the argument, quote or recommendation.

📖Audiobooks and research

Return to passages without searching a whole chapter.

🛠Tutorials and training

Bookmark the exact step you need on the job.

Optional cloud laterBackup and multi-device sync are on the roadmap.

Local-first, not permanently local-only

Your library starts on your device. Future cloud features will remain optional.

The current app does not require an account or upload your bookmark library to PlaybackHere. We are also designing for a future first-party cloud service so users who choose it can protect and synchronise their libraries across devices.

  • No advertising profile
  • No forced sign-in for current local use
  • CSV backup and transfer
  • Future cloud storage clearly separated and opt-in

Simple launch model

Useful free. One-time upgrade for an unlimited local library.

No subscription is planned for the core local app. Future optional cloud storage may be a separate service because it has ongoing infrastructure costs.

No invented testimonials

We will prove the product with real compatibility results.

Before public launch, this site will replace illustrations with genuine app screenshots, a short screen recording and device-tested compatibility results. Beta users will help determine which integrations are strongest and which need more work.

01Real interface

Actual PlaybackHere screens—not a fictional concept app.

02Verified app behaviour

Restore levels labelled honestly by app and Android version.

03Real user feedback

Testimonials only after testers give permission to publish them.

Frequently asked questions

What people will ask before installing.

The important answers should be visible before anyone has to contact support.

Doesn’t my media app already remember where I stopped?

Usually, yes. PlaybackHere solves a different problem: saving multiple specific moments you want to revisit, then keeping those moments together across several media apps.

Does PlaybackHere replace YouTube, Audible or my podcast player?

No. You continue using the original media apps. PlaybackHere captures the moment you choose and later hands you back to the original app when the integration allows it.

Will every app return to the exact second?

No honest cross-app utility can promise identical behaviour everywhere. Android apps expose different identifiers and controls. PlaybackHere labels compatibility clearly and stops safely when it cannot verify the correct item.

Does PlaybackHere upload my bookmarks?

The current local-first app stores the library on your Android device and does not require a PlaybackHere account. Optional first-party cloud backup and sync are planned for the future, but are not part of the current beta.

Will cloud storage be included in the lifetime Pro price?

The A$19.99 lifetime Pro plan covers the local app upgrade described on the pricing page. A future cloud service may be priced separately because online storage and synchronisation create continuing costs.

When can I install it?
